Set in the South Ayrshire countryside, just outside Ayr, Roodlea Barn is a family-run wedding venue designed for full day celebrations that feel personal, easy and completely your own.
Your guests arrive in the early afternoon, ready for your ceremony. Afterwards, there is time for confetti, drinks, canapés, photographs and a proper chance to settle into the day before dinner begins.
As the evening comes in, the barn is turned around for music, dancing and the evening celebrations.

THE VENUE
Exposed stone, warm timber and floor-to-ceiling views
Inside, you will find exposed stone walls, wooden beams, a vaulted ceiling, chandeliers, fairy lights and our floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the pond and golf course. The double-sided fireplace adds warmth to the room, creating a beautiful focal point for ceremonies, dining and evening celebrations.
The statement barn doors open into our rustic-modern bar area, complete with soft furnishings, cosy corners and a wood-burning stove. On warmer days, guests can spill out onto the terrace and decking, and the surrounding countryside gives your photographer plenty to work with throughout the day.

Exclusive use
From the moment your guests arrive to the end of the night, Roodlea Barn is yours. No other events, no shared spaces.
Flexible catering
Catering is not included in your venue hire, giving you the freedom to choose from our approved wedding caterers and create a menu that suits your day.
Fully stocked and staffed bar
Our bar is run by the Roodlea team throughout your day. Drinks packages are available and can be tailored to suit the kind of celebration you are planning.
Outdoor spaces
The partly covered terrace with outdoor heaters is a lovely spot for guests to relax outside. The pond, pergola, golf course and country roads give you plenty of beautiful spots for photographs too.
The Dressing Room
A mirrored wall, vanity table and plug sockets. Yours throughout the day whenever you need it.
On-site accommodation
Roodlea House sleeps up to 10 guests and is a short walk from the barn. Roodlea Retreat is a one-bedroom lodge with private decking, an outdoor bath, a wood-burning stove and countryside views.

Our venue hire prices vary depending on your chosen date and time of year. You can view pricing for all currently available dates and years on our pricing page, or download our brochure to refer back to later.
Catering is booked separately with one of our approved suppliers and paid directly to them, rather than being included within your venue hire.

OTHER WAYS TO CELEBRATE AT ROODLEA
Thinking about a twilight wedding?
A shorter, evening-focused format with ceremony from 4pm, followed by drinks, food and dancing until midnight. A great option if a full day is not quite what you are looking for.
Interested in a winter wedding package?
Fairy lights, candlelight, warm fires and that cosy countryside feeling. Our winter and early spring wedding packages run from November through to March, with catering included.

A viewing is the best way to get a proper feel for the barn, the outdoor spaces and how your day could flow. It is relaxed, no pressure, and usually takes around half an hour.
