AN EVENING LED WAY TO CELEBRATE

A relaxed barn wedding with a later start

A twilight wedding is a lovely option for couples who want a more relaxed wedding day, without losing the feeling of a proper celebration.

The day begins in the late afternoon, with your ceremony inside the barn or outdoors, depending on the season and weather. Afterwards, there is time for drinks, photographs, relaxed evening food, music and dancing.

It is a simpler format than a full day wedding, but there is still plenty of room for the styling, flowers, music and details that make the day feel like yours.

YOUR TWILIGHT WEDDING AT ROODLEA

From late afternoon into evening

01

Exclusive use from 4pm

You will have private use of Roodlea Barn from 4pm until midnight, giving you and your guests time to settle in and enjoy the evening together.

02

Ceremony in the barn or outdoors

Say your vows inside the barn, framed by the exposed beams and warm timber, or outdoors in the grounds when the season and weather allow.

03

Drinks and photographs

After the ceremony, there is time for drinks, photographs and a proper chance to catch up with your guests before the evening celebration begins.

04

A softer evening atmosphere

The later timing gives the day a lovely atmosphere, especially as the light softens over the Ayrshire countryside and the barn moves from ceremony space into evening celebration.

05

Relaxed evening food

Twilight weddings are designed around relaxed evening food rather than a formal sit-down meal. This keeps the flow easy and sociable, with more time for guests to mingle and enjoy the evening.

06

Music and dancing

As the evening gets going, the barn becomes a warm and atmospheric space for your first dance, live music, a DJ and a full dance floor.
