VENUE HIRE PRICING
Venue hire gives you exclusive use of Roodlea Barn and the flexibility to shape the day around you.
All prices include VAT.
Catering, drinks, decor and accommodation are arranged separately unless you choose one of our winter or early spring packages.
Saturday twilight weddings are available during the low season.
Wednesday twilight weddings are available throughout the year.
TWILIGHT WEDDINGS
A twilight wedding is a relaxed, evening-led celebration that begins later in the day and flows naturally into drinks, food, music and dancing.
Ceremony timings can be adjusted slightly depending on what works best for you and the ceremony you have planned with your celebrant, humanist or registrar.
After the ceremony, guests move into the bar area while our team changes the main hall from the ceremony layout into its evening setting. This normally takes until approximately 7.00pm and gives you time for drinks, canapés and photographs.
Good to know about twilight weddings
A formal sit-down meal is not available
Food must be served as a buffet or through food trucks
Seating is informal and is not assigned
Depending on guest numbers, there may not be a seat for every evening guest
The ceremony and drinks reception can include up to 120 guests
Additional evening guests can arrive from approximately 7.00pm
The maximum evening capacity is 150 guests
Your evening then continues with food, music and dancing until midnight.
WINTER & EARLY SPRING PACKAGES
Our winter and early spring packages bring together the main parts of your wedding in one clear price.
Created in partnership with Regis Banqueting, every package includes:
Packages are available for selected dates in February, March, November and December.
Additional guests — Full day catering: £55 per additional guest. Twilight evening buffet: £25 per additional guest.

Additional guests — Full day catering: £60.50 per additional guest. Twilight evening buffet: £27.50 per additional guest.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
We want the payment process to feel clear from the beginning.
Your exact payment dates will be included in your booking agreement.
A £500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date. Once your booking form has been completed, we will prepare your agreement and send your deposit payment information.
Half of the remaining venue balance is due 18 months before your wedding date.
The final half of the remaining venue balance is due 12 months before your wedding date.
Booking within 18 months of your wedding
Where the 18-month payment date has already passed when you book, that instalment will be due one month after your holding deposit has been paid. The remaining instalment will then be due at the 12-month milestone.
Booking within 12 months of your wedding
Where both payment milestones have already passed, the outstanding venue balance will be due one month after your holding deposit has been paid.
Your booking agreement will always show the exact dates and amounts that apply to your wedding.
Finalising your plans
Around three months before your wedding, we will get in touch to begin bringing together the final details of your day. At this stage, we will ask you to start confirming:
Your final information, choices and applicable payments should be confirmed no later than six weeks before your wedding.
Drinks Packages
Our on-site bar is managed and staffed by the Roodlea team throughout your wedding.
We offer a fully stocked bar with a choice of spirits, beers, wines, prosecco, cocktails, soft drinks and alcohol-free alternatives.
Our drinks options include:

Cocktails
Packages can be tailored to suit your plans, with final selections and guest numbers confirmed before your wedding.
As we operate the bar, all alcohol must be purchased through Roodlea Barn.
We do not offer corkage and alcohol cannot be brought into the venue by couples or guests.
We provide the glassware for your drinks reception, bar service and tables during the meal.
Decor & Styling
Our in-house styling service makes it easy to create a beautifully finished look using pieces that are already chosen to work within the barn.
You can hire individual items or build a fuller styling package around your colours, layout and plans for the day.
Our décor collection includes:
Table runners and napkins
Candles and candle holders
Bud vases
Table styling pieces
Arches
Easels
Signs and props
Seat pads
You are also welcome to add your own décor or work with an external styling supplier.
CATERING
For venue hire only weddings, catering is arranged separately through one of our approved caterers.
Each caterer offers their own menus, service style and pricing, allowing you to choose an option that suits your wedding.
Your caterer must provide:
Catering staff
Crockery
Cutlery
Any table linen you require
Support with moving the tables during the room changeover
Please confirm the exact inclusions directly with your chosen caterer.
A kitchen and utilities charge of £4.50 plus VAT per guest is payable by your caterer for the use of the venue kitchen, appliances and utilities.
STAY AT ROODLEA
Both accommodation options can be added to your wedding booking. Roodlea House gives family or members of your wedding party space to stay and get ready together, while Roodlea Retreat offers a private countryside stay for two.
Roodlea House
A beautifully refurbished five-bedroom house sleeping up to ten guests, just a short walk from the barn.
With two living rooms and plenty of space throughout the house, different sides of the wedding party can get ready separately before coming together for the day.
Payment information
A £300 deposit is required to secure your booking
The remaining balance is due six weeks before your wedding
A separate refundable security deposit of £500 is due five days before your stay
The security deposit will be refunded within seven days of departure, following a successful check-out
Roodlea Retreat
A private one-bedroom lodge with countryside views, its own decking, an outdoor bath and a wood-burning stove. It is a peaceful place to spend your first night together before taking the following morning at your own pace.
Payment information
A £300 payment is required to secure your booking
This is held as a refundable security deposit
The remaining accommodation balance is due six weeks before your wedding
The security deposit will be refunded within seven days of departure, following a successful check-out
BRINGING FAMILY OR YOUR WEDDING PARTY BACK?
We know that family members or members of your wedding party may also be excited to see where you are getting married.
Visit our open day
We normally host a Roodlea Barn open day around February or March.
Our open day is the best opportunity to return with family or your wedding party and spend more time exploring the venue together.

The date changes each year, so keep an eye on our website and social media for the announcement.
Self-guided return visits
We understand that attending the open day may not always be possible.
Couples who have already attended their initial viewing can also book a short self-guided return visit on selected Sundays. These visits last approximately 30 minutes and are available for the couple and up to four additional guests, with a maximum of six people in total.
A self-guided visit can be used to:
Show close family or your wedding party around
Look at the layout again
Take measurements
Discuss ideas for your day
These visits are unsupervised, so a member of the Roodlea team will not be available to repeat the full guided viewing or answer questions during your appointment.
